Many of us don’t get what we deserve in life. With reference to the lesson ‘A Question of Trust’ do you think Horace Danby was unfairly punished or did he deserve what he got? [100-150 words]
Answer:
According
to me, Horace Danby was not a hard core thief. He stole because he
loved to read and he only robbed rich people. He wanted
only to buy good and expensive books to read. He was otherwise a nice
and respectable man. But in spite of all these good qualities A
thief is a thief no matter what the purpose is, how much the amount is and
whoever the person being robbed is. What a thief does with his booty is
secondary to his crime. In the eyes of law he is a criminal
who has to be punished. It was inevitable that he would get caught
one day even if the Lady in Red had not fooled him. A crime has to be seen
as a crime and no other hue can be given to it. Even if no one is harmed in
the crime still the , criminal has to be nabbed and punished.
So, Horace deserved what he got.
